Master Plan revealed for Blayney MPS

The master plan for the Blayney Multipurpose Service (MPS) redevelopment has been revealed, providing the community with a first look at their new and expanded health and aged-care facility.

The unveiling of the master plan follows the announcement that the redevelopment will be built on the existing Osman Street site, ensuring close proximity to other medical and aged care services.

The brand new, purpose-built facility will include aged care and HealthOne services with more patient beds, increased chair-based services and room for future expansion. A single 'front door' will provide easy access to all the services.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the NSW Government’s investment in the Blayney MPS redevelopment would bring high quality health and aged care closer to home.

“The unveiling of the master plan for the new Blayney MPS redevelopment marks the next step forward in this major redevelopment which will centralise access to primary health, hospital and aged care services,” Mr Toole said.

“The redevelopment will transform health and aged care services in Blayney and paves the way for further community consultation on the facility’s design to ensure it meets the needs of the community now and into the future.”

Minister for Regional Health Bronnie Taylor said the design phase of the new Blayney MPS provides an exciting opportunity to deliver innovative, patient-centred care within a modern, fit-for-purpose facility.

“We’re inviting the community to have their say on the master plan to ensure the new Blayney MPS continues to meet the health needs of the community for decades to come,” Mrs Taylor said.

About the MPS Program

The Blayney MPS redevelopment is a part of the NSW Government’s $297 million Multipurpose Services Program to deliver improved access to health and aged care services for communities in rural and remote NSW.

The Blayney MPS redevelopment is part of the NSW Government’s record $11.9 billion investment in health infrastructure over four years to 2025-26, with nearly a third of the capital allocation in this financial year going towards regional and rural health facilities.

Since 2011, the government has delivered more than 180 hospitals and health facilities across NSW, with more than 130 projects currently underway – of those, more than 90 are in rural and regional areas.
