Braidwood MPS now boasts new in-patient rooms designed with the latest models of care requirements, 37 single room residential aged care beds, multiple activity rooms with shared lounge and dining facilities.The facility also includes acute care beds, an emergency department with dedicated ambulance entry and x-ray services.

The finishing works included demolishing the old hospital buildings, building new staff accommodation units, upgrading car parking areas and landscaping of outdoor areas.
 
The Braidwood MPS has been delivered with the support and input of Braidwood Health Service Staff, the Community Consultation Committee, the Arts and Heritage Working Group, residents, their families and carers, and the Braidwood community.
The new Braidwood MPS opened its doors to patients on Tuesday 25 August 2020 and the finishing works were completed in February 2021.
