About Blayney MPS
SHARE

The Blayney Multipurpose Service (MPS) is undergoing a major redevelopment as part of the Multipurpose Service Program to deliver health facilities across smaller rural and remote communities.

The new MPS be built on the existing site on Osman Street, and will include zones for inpatient and other treatment areas, emergency, and enhanced residential aged care, as well as space for future expansion.

The project team is working with staff, residents, patients, carers and community to develop the detailed plans.

The project is currently in the design stage. Construction is expected to start in early 2024 and be completed in 2025.

The project will bring high quality health and aged care services closer to home, in a modern facility which can continue to meet local health care needs for years to come.

How we plan the project

Planning a new health facility takes time and careful consideration.

We start with the Local Health District's Clinical Services Plan, which defines the services needed for the community into the future.

A team including Health Infrastructure, Ministry of Health and Western NSW Local Health District work together with staff and consumer representatives to design a facility which is safe, welcoming, sustainable, good value for money, and can best meet the needs of the community into the future.
