tocumwal

The Tocumwal MPS redevelopment project was officially opened in June 2017.

Additional funding has been approved to construct three one-bedroom self-contained staff accommodation units, including one accessible unit, at the Tocumwal MPS. Construction commences in June 2021 and is expected to be complete by late-2021.

The Tocumwal MPS redevelopment project completed in 2017 delivered:

  • an extension of the existing building for a new inpatient wing

  • reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing residential aged care and inpatient areas to provide additional residential aged care beds

  • a lounge area for families and carers.

The scope of the additional works includes three one-bedroom units, each with self-contained facilities such as a kitchenette, ensuite, and laundry, co-located on the Tocumwal MPS site. The works will include improvements to the rear laneway, which provides access to the health facility’s back of house services and staff parking.
One of the staff accommodation units has a ramp to increase accessibility and support people with mobility needs. Three staff car parking spaces will be built as part of the project.
